- Pat the tuna steaks dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped herbs, and lemon juice. Mix until well blended and set aside.
Cooking
- Heat the olive oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet over high heat until it shimmers.
- Carefully place the seasoned tuna steaks into the hot skillet and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Remove the tuna steaks from the skillet and plate them. Top each steak with about a tablespoon of garlic herb butter and allow it to melt before serving.
