Tea Ingredients
  • 2–3 bags black tea (Assam, Darjeeling, or English Breakfast) Assam offers a bold flavor, Darjeeling is light, and English Breakfast is familiar.
Liquid Ingredients
  • 1 cup water For brewing the tea.
  • cups whole milk Provides a creamy texture.
Sweetener
  • 1–2 teaspoons sugar Adjust to taste after removing the tea bags.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Bring the water to a full boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Add 2–3 black tea bags and simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Pour in 1½ cups of whole milk and heat gently until steam and tiny bubbles form.
  4. Remove from heat just before boiling.
  5. Lift out the tea bags and stir in 1–2 teaspoons of sugar until fully dissolved.

Notes

For a bolder flavor, use 3 tea bags. Sweeten after removing tea bags for the best balance. If pairing with savory food, keep sweetness light.
