Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups honeydew melon, cubed Use ripe, fragrant honeydew for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves Fresh mint adds a crisp, cooling edge.
  • 4 cups green tea, brewed and chilled Start with truly chilled green tea.
  • 1/4 cup honey (optional) Use if honeydew is not sweet enough.
  • to taste cubes Ice cubes Pack the ice for a cold drink.

Method

Preparation
  1. Add the cubed honeydew and fresh mint leaves to a blender. Blend for 30–60 seconds, until the mixture is completely smooth and glossy.
  2. Pour the chilled green tea into a large pitcher, then add the honeydew-mint puree. Stir until the color is even.
  3. Taste the mixture. If the honeydew isn't very sweet, stir in honey a little at a time, mixing until it fully dissolves.
  4. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the tea over. Garnish with extra mint leaves or a few honeydew cubes if desired.

Notes

For best results, start with chilled green tea to keep the drink crispy. Blend until the mixture is glossy for a smooth drink. Stir the pitcher before pouring, as the puree can settle.
