Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the cocoa powder, honey (or maple syrup), melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract to the bananas, mixing until combined.
  4. Stir in the baking soda and salt until well incorporated.
  5. Gradually add the whole wheat flour or oat flour, mixing gently until just combined; avoid over-mixing.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into a lined 8x8 inch baking dish. If desired, top with chocolate chips or nuts.
Cooking
  1. Cook in the air fryer for 20-25 minutes. Check for doneness with a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs.
  2. Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting them into squares for serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container to retain moisture. Adjust baking time according to your air fryer. Try serving warm or with additional toppings like yogurt or nut butter.
