Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 6–8 oz each)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (Extra virgin if possible)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • ½ tsp salt (Adjust to taste)
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (Freshly cracked)
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (Chopped, for garnish (optional))

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes to ensure even cooking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 teaspoon each of smoked paprika, garlic powder, and thyme, along with ½ teaspoon of salt and ¼ teaspoon of black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Rub the seasoning mix thoroughly over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are well coated for maximum flavor.
  4. Place the seasoned chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between them for air circulation.
Cooking
  1. Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 9 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking process, and then cook for another 8–9 minutes. The chicken is done when it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  2. Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing; this allows juices to redistribute for a tender bite.
  3. Sprinkle with fresh parsley before serving to add a pop of color and freshness.

Notes

Ensure the air fryer is fully preheated to achieve that crispy finish. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to avoid overcooking, which can dry out the chicken. Feel free to double the spice mix for use on vegetables or other proteins. Letting the chicken rest is crucial for maintaining juiciness, so don’t skip that step.
