Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter with the powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Gradually mix in the flour and salt until a smooth dough forms.
Forming Cookies
- Scoop and roll the dough into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Press an indent into the center of each ball using your thumb or a spoon.
- Spoon jam into each indent, aiming for a neat mound.
Baking
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until the cookies are set and the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack.
Decoration
- Once cooled, add sprinkles or edible flowers if desired.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Perfect for gifting and makes a lovely addition to dessert spreads.
