  3. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  4. Taste the dough; if it feels too sweet, mix in a pinch of salt.

Notes

Make sure butter is softened, not melted. Mix sufficiently to erase flour streaks. Adjust salt to personal preference.
