Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 cups Frozen Hashbrowns Provide the foundation for texture.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Adds gooey richness.
  • 1/2 cup Bacon Bits Brings in a smoky, savory flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions (Chopped) Lends a fresh bite.
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Enhances flavor profile.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder Enhances flavor profile.
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) while you prepare the mixture.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the frozen hashbrowns, shredded cheese, bacon bits, chopped green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  4. Scoop heaping tablespoons of the mixture and form them into small patties, about the size of your palm.
  5. Arrange the patties in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded for even cooking.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  2. Look for a deep golden color and a firm texture to know they are done.
  3. Remove from the air fryer and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For extra crunch, avoid overpacking patties. Experiment with different cheeses or add diced jalapeños for heat. Serve immediately for the best texture but can be reheated in the air fryer.
