Preparation
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Core and thinly slice the apples into fry shapes.
- Mix flour, cinnamon, optional sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- Coat apple slices in the flour mixture.
- Dip floured apple pieces in water and roll in breadcrumbs.
- Arrange the apple fries in the air fryer basket without crowding.
- Mist the tops of the apple fries with cooking spray.
Cooking
- Air fry for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Cut apples evenly for best results. Don’t skip the oil spray to achieve a delicious, crisp coating. Keep an eye on the fries during the last minutes to avoid burning.
