Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Core and thinly slice the apples into fry shapes.
  3. Mix flour, cinnamon, optional sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Coat apple slices in the flour mixture.
  5. Dip floured apple pieces in water and roll in breadcrumbs.
  6. Arrange the apple fries in the air fryer basket without crowding.
  7. Mist the tops of the apple fries with cooking spray.
Cooking
  1. Air fry for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown.
  2. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Cut apples evenly for best results. Don’t skip the oil spray to achieve a delicious, crisp coating. Keep an eye on the fries during the last minutes to avoid burning.
