Preparation
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions in a pot of salted boiling water. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart as it cooks. Sauté until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream, allowing it to come to a gentle simmer. Stir frequently and add the grated Parmesan cheese, seasoning with salt and pepper. The sauce should thicken slightly.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet, tossing gently to coat it in the creamy sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
- Remove from heat and garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Use a good quality Parmesan cheese for best flavor. If the sauce is too thick, add reserved pasta water. Add red pepper flakes for heat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
