Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your Bundt pan thoroughly.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and baking soda until combined.
Mixing
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing until fully incorporated, then stir in sour cream and vanilla.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
Creating the Swirl
- In a small bowl, combine brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Spoon half the batter into the prepared Bundt pan, followed by half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Add remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar.
Baking
- Using a knife, gently swirl through the batter to create ribbons, then bake for 50-60 minutes.
- Cool in the pan briefly before inverting onto a plate.
Notes
For best results, thoroughly grease the pan and cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Let the cake set before inverting to prevent tearing.
