Ingredients

Brownie Base
  • 3/4 cup chocolate (melted and cooled to room temperature) Use good quality chocolate for better flavor.
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt Preferably plain and unsweetened.
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder (sifted)
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional) For added chocolate richness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking pan by greasing or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted chocolate and Greek yogurt, stirring until smooth and well combined. Add vanilla extract and sugar, mixing until incorporated.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt, whisking to combine.
  4. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the chocolate mixture until just combined, being careful not to overmix. The batter should be thick and slightly glossy.
  5. Add milk to the batter, stirring until smooth and well blended.
  6. If desired, fold in chocolate chips to add bursts of chocolate flavor.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth it out evenly with a spatula.
  8. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  9. Let the brownies cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Ensure melted chocolate is cooled to room temperature before mixing. Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain moisture.
