Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds beef (flank steak or sirloin) Choose lean cuts for best results.
Marinade
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional) Increase for more heat.

Method
 

Prepare the Beef
  1. Slice the beef against the grain into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
Make the Marinade
  1. In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
Marinate
  1. Add the sliced beef to the marinade and coat thoroughly. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
Prepare for Cooking
  1. Remove the beef from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels.
Air Fry the Jerky
  1. Place the beef strips in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  2. Preheat the air fryer to 160°F (70°C). Dry the beef strips for 4 to 6 hours, checking halfway for even drying.
Cool and Store
  1. Let the jerky cool completely before storing in an airtight container.

Notes

Use fresh ingredients for best flavor. Consider adding liquid smoke for extra smoky flavor. Store properly to maintain texture.
